Kathleen Dahlhoff began her dance training at the age of five with Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley before venturing to the San Francisco Ballet School, where she remained on a full scholarship for eight years. In 2009, at age 15, Dahlhoff began her professional career with the San Francisco Ballet company, dancing with the corps de ballet in pieces by Helgi Tomasson, Yuri Possokov, George Balanchine, and Jerome Robbins.
In the summer of 2012, she joined Cincinnati Ballet as an Apprentice for a season before going on to explore other genres of dance and continue her education. Dahlhoff moved to New York City to attend the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s professional division and Fordham University, the most rigorous and intensive BFA program in the country. While there, Dahlhoff performed principal and soloist roles in Alvin Ailey’s Revelations, Night Creature, and Streams.
After graduating cum laude from Fordham, she returned to Cincinnati Ballet, where she has been for the past three seasons. Since returning to Cincinnati, her notable roles have included the title role in Penny Saunders’ Nannerl, Justin Peck’s Murder Ballades, “Carabosse” in Devon Carney’s Sleeping Beauty, and ‘Lady From the Sea” in Val Caniparoli’s Ibsen’s House.
